Bookmark this post, like seriously right now… because we are about to give you soooo many tips and tricks on making a little side cash. (Be sure to subscribe, because we will be adding more to the list!)
1. Sell your shiz on Poshmark! Unlike FB Marketplace or Craigslist, you can sell nationally on Poshmark, and they will even create the shipping label for you to print and pack in the comfort of your home. I suggest using this to start getting into the mindset of a business owner - and did you know the average person has over $1,000 worth of stuff laying around their home that they don’t even use anymore?
2. Get money back from when you go shopping. You can take photos of your receipts with ReceiptHog for coins that you can eventually redeem for cash back or gift cards. You can also do the same with Fetch Rewards that gives bonus rewards when you use the app daily, and iBotta, which gives you cash back for certain featured items. The items rotate out so always check the next time your favorite fruit or pasta is on the app for some free money! Another popular grocery app is Checkout51. It works similarly to iBotta, by featuring certain products for bonus cash back. The last app the pays for your receipts is Shopkick, but only when you purchase a featured item. However, they also give you points/kicks when you scan the featured item in the store (without needing to buy!)
3. Get paid when you buy gas. Yup, it’s totally a thing now! You can earn CASH when filling up gas using a revolutionary app called Upside. They allow you to redeem gift cards, and now also offer real cash to be redeemed via Paypal! They also provide cash back for certain restaurants too.
4. Earn cash back on your online shopping! My top two favorite cash back sites are Rakuten and BeFrugal (use my links for a sign up bonus!) You go to these sites first, look for the store you want, and click to shop. They will track your cash back automatically and pay you out on Paypal. If you also enjoy Amazon, you can use a browser extension called Honey (update: they now have an app!) because they will automatically search across the web to make sure you have the best price on the item you are about to buy. They also auto-input any coupons that they find to see if you can get an even bigger discount.

5. Start walking! If there is any incentive at all to get off your booty and starting walking around, it is Sweatcoin! With every step that you take, it will tally up how many Sweatcoins you earn - which you can then redeem for prizes, gift cards, and even up to $1,000 in cash!
6. Earn cash back at your favorite restaurants and shops with Dosh. It will scan what merchants are in your area that are available for cash back, and you don’t even need to activate it. Simply hook up your card to the app, and it’ll give you cash back once you’ve used your card to pay at the participating merchant. Another app that works similarly by connecting to your card is Pogo. Once you link it, the app will automatically reward you points on your purchases. You can double dip on points by submitting receipts for a faster cash out!
7. If you are really into arts or crafts, I highly suggest using Etsy as a platform to sell your products for income. (Click on my Etsy referral link to get your first 40 listings for free!) Homemade clothing, jewelry, and other knickknacks thrive on Etsy. My mom used to be an online seller as a hobby, and has since sold over 1,000 items!
8. If you get bored of the games on your phone, try one that gives you prizes and/or cash instead. Lucky Day is a gaming app that works like virtual scratch cards. You collect game tokens or actual cash per scratch card. Redeem the tokens for random prizes and gift cards to your favorite stores!
There is also a Solitaire game that allows you to earn real cash (and no, you do not need to put any money in!) I have tested this myself by winning $11 in my first 2 days! Not astronomical, but definitely a win!
9. Turn business cards into cash! A very weird and interesting blueprint has created this unique opportunity to turn business cards into a monthly income. If you’re up for a little story time, it might be worth the read!
